Debbie's Best Sweet-n-Hot Collard Greens

Instructions

  1. Saute the bacon until the fat is rendered, but the bacon is still soft. Remove the bacon if desired.
  2. Saute the onions in the bacon fat until translucent, the add the garlic and cook until fragrant.
  3. Add the chicken broth, molasses, vinegar, jalapeno, pepper flakes and sugar. Then add the greens and simmer for 1-1/2 to 2 hours. Season to taste.
